The Magic Man
"He's magic, mum."
Susan Hampton looked up from her cell phone and said, "Not now, Abbie. I'm trying to win this game. Go play."
"But, mum! Look. He's dressed all funny." Abbie pointed across the park at the man wandering around by the trees. He was wearing a tweed jacket, braces, and a red bowtie.
"I see that, dear." Susan didn't look up.
"And he pointed a magic wand at something. He's a wizard!"
Susan sighed. "Abbie, please. Go play."
Abbie reluctantly left her mother's side, still watching the wizard from across the park. He caught her eye and waved. She looked at the ground quickly.
